We’re currently recruiting for an exciting opportunity with an award-winning Medical Device organization based in Dublin. This is an excellent position for anyone who is looking to join a leading multinational who are one of the best at what they do.
Job Responsibilities:
- Root cause analysis of engineering problems.
- Define and review tolerance stack-up analysis for complex mechanical assemblies
- Establish and execute test protocols for characterization and verification testing
- Develop innovative solutions to engineering problems
- Construct prototypes; evaluate and document their performance; identify possible improvements
- Specify, design and evaluate mechanical and electromechanical solutions to problems
- Explore new and existing materials and methods to solve engineering challenges
- Capability to understand structural and thermal analyses of components and assemblies
- Create and implement suitable tests to verify designs meet mechanical requirements
- Utilize CAD engineering software to create, modify and analyse mechanical components
- Collaborate with vendors to produce mechanical components and assemblies
- Review and approve engineering drawings, test plans, and technical reports
- Lead in the creation and release of Product Requirements, Design Specifications, and Design Descriptions for assigned projects ensuring applicable standards and procedures are adhered to.
- Adhere to design control and risk management policies.
Requirements:
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 5+ years related engineering experience, 3 of which are in medical device design
- Experience in development of complex moulded components.
- Hands-on experience constructing mechanical prototypes utilizing rapid-prototyping methods and equipment
- Experienced with Solid works or similar CAD package
- Is a self-starter, can manage multiple tasks, and work with minimal supervision
- Strong Computer skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Internet)
