Project Engineer
On Site - Cork

I am looking for a Project engineer to support project scoping, commissioning, qualification, validation, and start-up operations at an Innovative Medicine site in Cork.

The ideal candidate would have 4+ years experience in Project Engineering in a bulk API environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead Engineering projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and meet safety and quality goals.
  • Scope new projects and secure Capital approval.
  • Oversee commissioning, qualification, and project documentation.
  • Manage project costs, schedules, and progress reporting.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, third parties, and stakeholders.
  • Lead risk management, resource allocation, and constructability studies.
  • Ensure projects comply with Change Management Procedures and regulatory standards.
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration and provide project-related training.

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Ensure safe and compliant execution of tasks, adhering to environmental and safety standards.
  • Prioritize and schedule activities to meet business needs and comply with training requirements.
  • Support ongoing studies and external site visits as needed.
  • Drive continuous improvement and maintain high operational standards.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
ESSENTIAL:
  • Third-level qualification in Engineering, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or Science.
  • 4+ years Experience with engineering projects in a GMP-regulated environment.
DESIRABLE:
  • Project Management qualification and familiarity with tools like SAP and Microsoft Office.
  • 6-Sigma or similar problem-solving training.
KEY COMPETENCIES:
  • Strong team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Customer-focused with strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Results-driven and adaptable.
