We’re currently recruiting for an exciting opportunity with an award-winning Pharmaceutical organization based in Cork. This is an excellent position for anyone who is looking to join a leading multinational who are one of the best at what they do.
Duties
• Implement the company's health, safety, quality and environmental policy, procedures, and management systems as they relate to Sustainability.
• Develop and advise on site Sustainability Strategy/Program and Environmental, Social Governance (ESG), aligned with Johnson and Johnson and site goals.
• Maintain, update, and communicate Sustainability procedures, support of ISO 14001 Standard Sustainability requirements and introduce and implement new ISO standards as appropriate.
• Monitor compliance of the organisation in accordance with sustainability and environmental guidelines and targets.
• Draft and implement Sustainability specific procedures if required to support sustainability program. Develop a roadmap for the execution of the Sustainability Strategy and identify required resources to deliver, through site budget and capital processes.
• Support existing site Sustainability resources and initiatives (including Facilities, MAM and EHS teams)Develop and set Sustainability & ESG objectives and targets. Communicate objectives, requirements, and sustainability standards to Senior Management and across all project teams.
• Define and track metrics for sustainability, ESG and biodiversity, establish a governance structure and other mechanisms to properly track as part of managed site performance for review.
• Coordinate all aspects of internal and external stakeholder communication around the Sustainability
• Support site projects on Sustainability requirements for concept design as required including implementation of Considerate Constructor Scheme
• Engage with Platform, and regional Sustainability SMEs and forums to advise site on development and focus areas.
• Produce quarterly Sustainability update reports for Site Leadership Team. Draft presentations, and proposals; presents proposals and recommendations to site SLT and stakeholders.
• Develop and execute a Sustainability Awareness program
• Evaluate efficacy of sustainability programs; recommend and implement improvements as necessary.
• Consider sustainability proposals with attention to factors such as cost effectiveness, feasibility, and ease of integration with other programs.
• Identify and facilitate training as needed.
Education & Experience
• A minimum of bachelor’s degree in Engineering, EHS or Sustainability is required.
• A minimum of seven to ten (7-10) years of applicable experience within a large global and regulated organization is required.
• Knowledge on energy conservation, Sustainability programs, Carbon neutrality, Biodiversity and waste reduction programs
• Experience working with cross-functional project and support teams, serving different employee populations.
• Experience establishing and driving multifunctional programs and initiatives relating to Sustainability or Capital projects
